Things to do in Rethymno

The best beaches in Rethymno

• Rethymno town beach is accessible and easy to get to if you are staying in the city centre. It’s located to the east and has 12 kilometres of sandy coastline. It has all the necessary services, such as beach bars, showers and umbrellas for rent.

• To the east, you can visit the Bali area formed by Karavostasis, Livadi, Varkotopos and Limani. These beautiful beaches are surrounded by mountains, therefore not windy at all. There are many accommodations nearby to spend the night.

• To the west, you will find Kamari beach near the village of Gerani. It’s rocky but its waters are crystal clear, so it’s perfect for snorkelling.

• Beyond Kamari, it’s Episkopi beach with its 3,5 kilometres of sand and shallow waters. This is the perfect spot for tourists travelling without a car.
